How to Use Colour in 2019

With the news that Pantone's colour of the year for 2019 is living coral, here at Homecolours we thought it'd be a great time to welcome in the new year with a look at how to incorporate similar shades into your home setup.

The world famous colour coordination experts Pantone describe their choice for colour of the year as a "life-affirming coral hue with a golden undertone that energizes and enlivens with a softer edge." As a way of livening up the winter cold and shorter days it sounds ideal!

Here are a few of our favourite home items that make use of the exciting colour of coral.

The above Forma Glass Tea Light Holder by Leonardo makes brilliant use of the striking colour of coral. The glass tea light holder is ideal to add a diverting helping of the transformative colour tone in and around the home.

The opaque nature of the item's colour tone is brilliant at bringing a solid foundation of the beautiful colour into any room. Looking great on any table top or book shelf, the Leonardo Forma product is a lovely way to add light and colour to a home space.

Another fantastic use of the striking colour of coral is offered by the Modern Cotton Iconic Towels from Calvin Klein. The beautifully soft cotton towels provide the perfect backdrop for a great display of warm oceanic colour.

Ideal for wrapping up warm and drying off after a long soak in the bath, the towels provides an absorbent and quick drying effect. Featuring the world famous Calvin Klein logo, the towels bring a stylish and fashionable blending of this year's colour of the moment with a strongly finished production of high quality.

Available in three different sizes, the Modern Iconic Towels are a great way to make the ideal impression on guests and visitors to the home.

Bluebellgrey are another dynamic design company that have successfully utilised the powerful colour of coral into its creations. The Sienna Medium Tapered Lampshade above is a lively way to bring the lovely shade into the home.

Inspired by the beautiful Moroccan city of Marrakesh, the delightful colour pattern provides a great floral pastel capturing around the home.

The above Sienna Cushion reproduces the shade and pattern in the shape of a wonderfully comfortable cushion. Another way to celebrate the charming colour of coral, the cushion is further example of both Bluebellgrey's way with colour and the striking shade of coral itself.
