A Delicate Illumination - Using Tea Lights Around the Home

A Delicate Illumination - Using Tea Lights Around the Home

Paying close attention to exactly how to illuminate the home is something that always pays off in a variety of ways. A plentiful source of light is obviously necessary for all sorts of activity; from doing daily tasks around the place to working at a desk with a lamp. But sometimes the more subtle delights of a delicate light are overlooked.

Thankfully it's easy to redress this. Many top design houses make the most of the elegant and attractive output of a smaller source of light. Tea lights are candles that are placed with a small plastic or metal cup to provide a more minimal glow. They are often used in accent lighting; that is lights that are secondary to the room's main light source.

Tealight holders can further accentuate the delicate appearance of the small candle light in a room. Take a look at the above Cube Tea Light Holder by Leonardo as an example of the distinct modern approach that can be deployed. Brilliant for bringing in a calming ambiance to any room, the flicker of the candle flame through the coloured glass creates a peaceful and tranquil mood. Also available in a whole host of other distinct colours, the cube is a beautiful way to enjoy the tealight effect.

Special occasion swill be brought into wonderful focus with the above Gold Plated Tealight Set of 2 by Georg Jensen. A beautiful design and premium production offers a lovely way to enjoy the soft illumination of a candle glow. Beautiful all round the year, and not only at Christmas, the set of two tealights are a superb way of producing a transfixing and soothing light show.

A distinctly modern and graphically striking home for a tealight is provided by the Kubus T, Burnished Copperholder from by Lassen. The unique design from the Danish company will age with time making the burnished copper colour grow darker over the years. The style itself will never grow old however, with its pleasing appearance able to bestow a memorable style in any room.

Another delightful way to let your tea lights shine out is with the Coloured DeLight Tealight Holder. The Villaroy and Boch creation uses a green apple coloured glass as its shell, and includes wonderful groves across the spherical surface, emphasizing the subtlety and elegance on show. Available in a variety of different sizes and colours, the Villaroy and Boch tealight holders are a sure way of making the most of calming and restful tea light illumination.
